The Department exists to professionally serve those who live in or visit the Town of Lockport, Louisiana. The officers of the Lockport Police Department are committed to working towards enhancing the quality of life in our community, maintaining Lockport as a safe place to raise a family while proactively addressing community issues.  The Department has a long, proud tradition of being a part of the community, and as the Town grows we strive to maintain the "small town feel" by being responsive to the changing needs of the people.
